Christmas Catch Up!

Hello!  Emily here.  We hope you had a nice holiday season!   Winston and I were spoiled.  We got Temptation treats and a new nip nanner.  Mom had thrown away our old one.  She said it was gross.  The nerve of her!  It was not gross.  Just well-loved.
This tiny Christmas robin is one of Mom's new stuffies.  It was half price after Christmas. All of our decorations are down now, though.  Winston and I didn't knock over that tree even once!

Mom is on vacation this week.   She can't do too much.  Our area is under lockdown again.  Mom is very thankful that she can go for long walks!
Purrs from Wiston!  This is a photo of me NOT knocking over the tree.  I'm such a good feline.  I deserve that new nip nanner.
This is a street that Mom takes when she walks to and from work.  The people on this street are fairly well-to-do!  They put lots of white lights on their trees.  Mom said she feel like she is walking through a magical winter scene!
This is a drawing that one of Mom's co-workers made for her!   Mom had no idea that B was going to draw a sketch of us!   She loves it so much that she put it in a frame and has it next to the phone.

We hope you are all managing.  Sometimes our Mom feels very anxious about how things are these days.  But we can sometimes coax her out of it with something a simple as a purr and a head bop.

Be well.  Be safe.  Have hope!

  1. Hello and belated happy new year! We're glad you were spoiled with treats and a new nip toy! 😊

A lot of people are leaving their lights up for the month, to provide a bit of cheer in an otherwise challenging time. We still have our indoor white mini light strings up, and will keep them up until the early mornings and the evenings are significantly brighter. They make the biped feel cosy and content.

The drawing that your mom's coworker did is wonderful! Such a terrific gift and surprise.

We hope your mom has a good break, even though we're only a few hours away from a stay at home order. Walks still are permitted! (The biped has to go out tomorrow or Friday to pick up cat food from the vet clinic and she's wondering if a cop will pull over the taxi, or stop her on the sidewalk if she has to walk!)

Hang in, because eventually this will be over, as the quote you posted indicates. Take care and stay well! 💜

  2. I love the drawing and frame- such a sweet gift. Nice to see you both. I had to throw away a nip nanner once when Penny peed on it. :) Wishing you both and your mom a happy and healthy new year!

  3. It sounds like you had a pretty nice holiday, Emily and Winston. Sorry to hear about the demise of your old nip nanner, though. We hope you have a nice time with Mum during her time off.

  4. What a lovely drawing of you two!
Of course, you would inspire any artist to do great things!
We can see you were both furry good kitties and there is no doubt you deserved your treats.
Tell your Mom to cheer up. There IS light at the end of the Tunnel, at last.

  7. We really loved this post with memories of Christmas. I think we move on too quickly. Just before the holiday lasts forever, but when it gets here, it goes by too fast. We have a lot of hope for our year ahead and send along our best wishes for you, Emily, Winston and the mom. *purrs*
