Santa's gonna fly over my house

H
Hello all.  It's Emily.   Well, remember when I told you earlier I may have had a bit too much fun and was concerned I would get nothing for Christmas.   You were all very kind and said that I had plenty of time to make up for it.   But today...I'm not so sure.
Today the Mom person got an e-mail from the library.

Apparently, a book was returned with kitty teeth marks on  the front cover
AND they are charging the Mom to replace the book.

I just took little bites on the corner. Mom didn't even
notice it until she saw the book at the library.
*sigh*
Right away she suspected me.

This is the delicious book that was damaged.   Mom said she never even got a chance to read it.   Well, Mom, look at this way.   Once you pay for it you get to take the book home for keeps.  I may, or may not, continue to nibble on the delicious cover.

Winston kitty will understand--  A girl kitty needs to get her fiber from someplace.   Right?
*sigh*
this being good is tough.

    1. I'm very relieved to hear it. I need a new cat dancer mouse toy. The feathers are all gone. The squeaky noise is also not there any more.
No wonder I felt the need to nibble on library books. I'm emotionally wounded!
      Phew.
      thanks Whiskeratti

  2. Emily, we just can't believe it. Sounds like something a boy kitty might do, not a ladycat. Is there video evidence? Because you're innocent until proven guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt!

    1. Gosh Fuzzy Tales,
I wish I had thought of that sooner. Just because Mom has caught me chewing on books before is no reason to make me culpable now! I can eat the rest of that book if I want...as long as nobody catches me.
      Gleeful purrs,
      Miss Emily

    2. PS--from the Mom. I found Miss Emily starting to chew a paperback corner and put the book away. Unfortunately, I put the books by the door before I went to bed, so I wouldn't forget to return them, neglecting to recall Miss Emily's predilection for paper =)

  3. Emily, Angel is our paper chewer, and she rips up the newspapers! Fortunately, she hasn't eaten any library books...yet...but now I'll know to keep a look out!

    1. Officially, I feel terrible about munching on the cover.
      Unofficially...yum!

  5. Oh Emily, we is sure all will be forgiven. If not, at least you'll get to chew on the book again when the mom bean brings it home.

Our Saku is the chewer of paper and mom bean says she's glad she hasn't ever borrowed books from the library!

    1. Hello,
Yes, the Mom is finally getting over it. I'm not sure she will leave a paperback lying around any time soon for me, though. *sigh* Poor me.
Hi Saku-I'm glad to hear I'm not the only paper chewer around.
      Many purrs,
      Miss Emily
