It's cuddling weather

Hello.  It's Winston today.  I've been a very busy feline.   This photo, for example, shows me trying to help Oscar feel warm and loved.   He meows so much these days that Mom is sometimes beside herself trying to figure out to help him.
Mom finally caved and bought a teen, tiny little pumpkin.  She keeps it far from my eager feline paws, though.  (Drat!  Foiled again!)
Purrs from Emily and Oscar.   Winston gets up close and personal with Oscar kitty hugging but I, Emily, prefer to show my support and still give a feline the personal space he so richly needs.  The Mom gets all goopy when she can see us felines a cuddling together.   Says it makes her heart happy.
Mom tries to get in as many walks as she can these days.   Some of the trees here are already bare of their leaves.  Plus, after a few days of being being well, the Mom got sick again.  Sheesh!   The woman needs to take vitamins or something....
Her preferred method, though, is warm beverages and rest.   October is her favorite month but she has spent most of it sneezing, coughing and sniffling.   We felines are having a rough go of it!
Here is a photo of the Winston kitty.   Not only does he try to help keep Oscar warm AND keep Mom's toes warm at night he also likes to make sure that the freshly laundered clothes from the dryer are freshly kitty furred.   This one was a close call as Mom almost started to put things away before Winston got there and fixed things up!

We will close with this photo from the park.   We are supposed to get lots of rain and wind soon, remmants from the Mexico hurricaine, so all those leaves the Mom loves so much may be floating in the wind!
Purrs for a healthy, happy week.

Mom bean lubs the photo of the park. Our leaves are gone and the silly weatherman is forecasting flurries....which mom says is dumb because it's snow.

    1. Thank you for your purrs for Oscar. Mom said she is thankful for my help with Oscar but, for some reason, she forgot to thank me for my help with the laundry! Go figure.
We haven't had that white stuff yet. Good thing as the Mom still needs to buy boots.
      Purrs for a great week,
      Winston

  4. Continued purrs for Oscar. Getting old isn't easy, is it. You're keeping very busy, though, both of you, not only helping Oscar feel better, but helping your mom so much! You must be exhausted already, and it's only Wednesday.

Take care and batten down the hatches, so to speak. We're getting that storm system too!

    1. We are pretty wiped out. Everybody seems to think we just eat, sleep and get into trouble.
It's raining heavily here now...the Mom still gets to walk into work. We hope she didn't bother styling her hair.
      Purrs,

PS-we hope you stay warm and dry, though.

  5. You are all so helpful...we think you deserved to carve that pumpkin! Does Oscar talk a lot because he is going deaf? We had big sisters who did that.

    1. We think we should get to shred that pumpkin too. Alas, it is just a teeny tiny pumpkin...more like a decoration than an actual pumpkin.
We think Oscar talks a lot because he is senile. Mom can't pick him up all the time but she does try to give him extra cuddles.
      Purrs for a great week!

  7. Just curious, has Oscar's thyroid been checked? I've heard that constant meowing can be cause by thyroid imbalance. I'm sure you are doing everything you can for Oscar, and the fact that Winston and Emily are giving him support is just wonderful! And momma, you are doing everything you can. Oscar knows that too!

    1. Hello,
Oscar is actually on medication for his thyroid. He gets 2 units of methimazole in the morning and 3 units at night.
When I see Winston and Emily cuddling near him...it makes my heart very happy.
      Thanks for your visit!
