Emily and Winston say "hi"

Hello.  It's Emily.   I'm admiring this rose Mom bought recently.   It is such a pretty color!   We are in the middle of a January thaw.
The snow is melting.   The little snow that does remain is dirty.
It has also been very foggy for several days in a row.   Mom says it's like living in England!  (not that she would know)
I don't know why but the weather makes me want to take a nap...on the ding room table!
Hello purrs now from Winston.  Yes, the weather has been a bit dreary.  Mom says that it's nice, though, that the sidewalks are clear of ice and snow.   Plus, she likes to drink extra tea!  She went to the mall for the first time in almost 2 months (she is such a wuss...she hates crowds during the holiday season)  She found some nice sales.   Mom stopped by David's Tea and discovered a new favorite tea....Serenity Tea.  It has blueberry, rose petals, and lavender!  She said it tastes like a soft, quiet spring morning.  She still has her other favorite teas...but she always gets excited when she finds a new flavor!

I'm going to close with this photo.   This is a cat that lives at the vet's office.  He is a scalawag.   Mom said he makes her smile.
Purrs to all for a great week.

  2. We've had fog for a couple of days too; now it's raining. But, having the sidewalks clear is great! Ooh, I want to be called a scalawag too! Must be about getting into mischief...

  3. Hi you two! It's been dreary, damp and foggy here too; our human says it reminds her of her years living in Halifax, NS. Winter is slated to make a return this week, with snow for a number of days, about 15 cms by the time it's all done. Yech. On the bright side, the sun doesn't set until just after 5 PM now...when we actually can see the sun. LOL.

Take care, have a great week!

  4. Hi Emily and Winston, good to see you both. Be glad you don't have to go out in this dreary weather. But it does make walking so much easier. No slipping and sliding! Your Mum's new tea sounds delicious.
    Have a good week!

  5. Good to hear you are having break from cold snow.
Winter is the best time to be cats ;)
Our mum is a coffee drinker, but lately has been drinking herbal teas.
There is something cozy about them in the Winter she says.

  7. Hi Emily and Winston - it's good to see you both. That kitty looks a bit like our Saku...and he's definitely a scalawag...though mom bean calls him other names.

Hope you have been giving your mom bean extra lubbing while she's at home with you.

Winston, that tea you described sounds most intriguing.Sorry you have been having such dreary weather - but that is exactly the right kind of weather for snuggling up with your Mom.
