April Showers...and snow!

Hello everybody!   It's Oscar kitty, or as Mom sometimes calls me, Boo Bear!  There is never a dull moment when there are felines around.  I make sure Mom keeps hopping.  I have bad arthritis and can't jump and leap as well as I used too.  What I have discovered, though, is that if look at a counter or chair AND then look at Mom with my soulful eyes she will pick me up and lift me to my desired destination! *Score*  I like to sleep by Mom's head and last night I made her pick me up three times (thus waking her up I had to meow!) to put me back in my rightful place.   Mom seems a bit groggy but I'm worth it!
We had a very nice weekend.   However, starting today, Monday, we will be getting rain and later in the week ....*snow*!
Don't forget Mom!   April showers bring May flowers!  I don't know what April snow brings though...except for grumpy looks from the humans.
Purrs now from me, Emily!  Mom apologizes for the darkness of this photo!   She didn't know I was going to perform my cute head tilt pose.   What would you rather watch the silly TV or my flirty little head tilt!?
In spite of the forecast of upcoming snow there have been signs of spring.   Mom saw beautiful purple crocuses growing on somebody's lawn.

Mom needs to get out her heavy duty umbrella for this weeks forecast!  It's black with yellow flowers on the outside but on the inside it is a butter yellow.  She says it is like walking under her own little sun.  I was feeling tired in this photo.  That Emily is a live wire.  She sometimes has the nerve to stand up for herself.  What is with that anyway?  When I torment her I expect meekness not feisty paws.  We will close with this photo of Mom's umbrella and tiny little blue flowers we think are forget me nots....Have a great week!

  1. Yes, those are forget-me-nots. Love those, they're such sweet little flowers. Apparently now is the time to scatter the seeds, according to the CBC Radio 1 gardener on the weekend. He said they'll be up in a few weeks. Though maybe not if there's snow!

We're glad you're all doing well (for your respective ages/issues). Oscar, you sure know how to get what you want, well done!

    Have a great week!

  3. Oscar, I hope your human finds something for you that makes you feel less achey! Hope the snow goes away quickly...don't the clouds know it's April?

  4. Love that umbrella! We are supposed to have a touch of snow tomorrow morning too! (I am in Michigan)...do you believe it? Tell mom, they have "steps" for kitties/doggies that she could get (I don't think they are expensive) that will help you get to places that you can no longer reach on your own. Then you don't have to give her a "sad" look. xoxo

  8. Oh, no! You got more snow, we are so sorry that spring is not coming to you yet. It has gotten cooler here lots of rain and hail but no snow for us. Beautiful flowers and you all look adorable. Stay warm and we hope you have lots of warmth and sun puddles to sleep in very soon. Hugs and nose kisses
