Insomnia and Spring

Snoozy purrs from Winston!  Emily and I don't have insomnia.  The Mom does and she is beside herself!  Emily and I like to give her practical pointers with our most excellent examples.  The rest is up to her!
Mom tries to go for a walk every day.  She saw this tree covered in beautiful pink blossoms on Sunday.  This is the sort of thing that cheers her heart.
Mom has also started posting encouraging quotes on her door.  She said she feels a bit silly but it seems like a way to cope.  We think she would cope better if she gave us more treats every day.  Am I right?!
YAWN!  It is Emily.  Thankfully, Winston and I are not dealing with sleeplessness.  We can only gently nudge Mom to follow our lead.  I have also been extra cuddly.  Mom says cat cuddles are good for the soul.
Mom's vacuum cleaner decided to quit several weeks ago.  It has been interesting trying to find a cheap solution.  Guess what.  Her Mom dropped off an old handheld vac for her to use on the carpets.  Mom said it "works".   The funny thing is that Winston is afraid of the tiny vacuum but not the large one.  I, Emily, don't mind the small vac at all!
Winston and I want to share this funny from Pinterest.  Mom had such a crush on MacGyver when she was growing up!

Here is a hopeful quote to get you through the day.

  2. We, too, are sending purrs to your mom for some sleep soon. Tell her the blossoms are lovely; ours aren't out yet. We hope the forecast freezing temperatures this weekend don't kill them. Or our little garden, for that matter!

You all take care and hang in. We can get through this! ❤️

    1. Hi J-Cats, We are happy you stopped by to say hello. Our Mom isn't sure what the name of the blossoms might be in her photo. If she finds out she will let you know, though :) Thank you for agreeing that Mom needs to give us more treats.

  4. Due to the lockdown, I've managed to watch a few of those old MacGyver reruns...pretty cool stuff, with an 80's eye.
I know Richard Dean Anderson more from Stargate!

    1. Hello Catladymac-We are happy you stopped by to say hello. We do cuddle Mom. Well, Winston will cuddle Mom. Sometimes I try to pull the pendant off of her necklace when we cuddle. Mom doesn't like the that, though. She is so ungrateful. Happy purrs, Emily and Winston!

  8. I hope the long walks, looking at pretty flowers, and kitty snuggles help your mom catch up on her sleep. When Mom can't sleep, she turns on the most boring tv channel and that usually does the trick.
