Candy Canes and Hot Chocolate

Hello.  It's Emily today.  I finally talked Mom into being our feline chronicler this week.  We apologize on her behalf.  She had a "litter box" kind of week.  She also spent a fair bit of time sleeping.  Why one evening she went to bed at 7 pm and got up after 10 am.  Mom is tuckered out.  Hopefully, she is going to get her energy back soon!  Winston and I have so many things that need doing!  She can't just let us down like this!
Mom walking to the grocery store at about 6:45 am.  She was tired, grumpy (she had to wear boots for the first time) but she said the sunrise made it worthwhile.  She even made it back in time so she wasn't late for work!  woo hoo!
Have you had any snow yet?  Mom says it seems a bit early for snow.  Though she says we shouldn't be surprised being we live in Canada!
Speaking of which her family helped decorate her tree yesterday.
Mom is hanging an ornament.  Most of her ornaments are from the Dollar Store.  Mom said she felt nervous because Winston seemed especially interested in all the shining, shatterproof baubles!
This is a candy cane hot chocolate from Williams.   Mom was thrilled and said it tasted as good as it looked!
Hi from Winston.   I have been snoring most of this Sunday afternoon.  I think I am a good influence on Mom.  She has been sleeping more than we have!
Emily and I will close with this funny from Pinterest

Wishing everyone a great week!
Purrs,
Winston and Emily

    1. Hello! Wow! That is a lot of snow. We are getting milder temps later this week so we will be like you with the snow melt.

  4. We had 13 cms here, though a lot of it is gone, just ugly, dirty patches now. But the week is promising to be messy. It's FAR too early for this.

Your tree is pretty! Our human keeps downsizing: We've gone from a 6-ft tree to a 4.5 ft one, and then last year she bought a pretty, pre-lit tabletop one. She doesn't have it up yet, but she has had the "winter" lights (warm white LED lights) up for a couple of weeks now on the main level--one strand above the patio door, one in the kitchen under the cabinets, and one in the hall. They add a warm, welcoming and cosy glow to the dark evenings. Lots of LED candles "burning" too! She still needs to get the outdoor decorations done; maybe this coming weekend, if the weather is decent.

You guys take care, tell your mom to sleep as much as she can--she's obviously exhausted and run-down, and it's no good if she gets sick!

Purrs to you all for a good week.

    1. Hi Kea,
Twinkle lights cheer up our Mom. She has them up all year! They do make for a cozy atmosphere.
Wow! You had more snow than we did. We still have some covering the grass, though.
Our Mom also put up our usual tiny tree because she doesn't trust us around the bigger one. She says if it gets toppled one too many times she is going to put it back in storage. What a grumpy pants.
Thanks for visiting. Have a great week.

    1. What!? More snow?
Guess what? We have 3 Christmas trees this year. A teeny, tiny one for a desk. Our usual Christmas tree, the Charlie Brown Christmas tree AND this new tree. It's about 4 feet high. We are just going to let Mom guess which one we will finally send flying.
