Saying Hello

Hello.  This is Winston.  The photo shows my get up and feed me face.  I am trying to look demanding and adorable at the same time.
How are your humans doing?  Our Mom is an introvert but even she is finding this social isolation thing a bit of a challenge.  Emily and I always take things in stride, though.
Purrs to all.

  1. You are so handsome. I don't mind having an excuse not to leave the house, but I feel bsd for all those affected. Keep your mom healthy and amused. XO

  3. Hi Winston. You have an irresistible face, regardless of your demands. :-)

Yes, the social isolation is challenging. I'm working from home now and able to have virtual meetings, so seeing other faces does help. Plus we all still have to go out for groceries. But I miss the morning bus routine and the people I've gotten to know over the years, and miss the interaction at work.

I think this will be some weeks, not just a couple. My boss said yesterday in our meeting that we're looking at up to 6 weeks, but no one really knows.

If you can connect with friends and family virtually, it will help. Take extra care and you all stay well, be safe.

  5. The isolation thing doesn't apply to me, Winston, and there's peace and quiet around here with increased pressure on me to be entertaining. I think I'll die from sheer exhaustion!! - Tom x

  6. it's kind of funny, people think my Mom is an extrovert because around people she is EXTREMELY outgoing...but......she actually PREFERS to be FAR AWAY from people quite a bit of the time. Mom is home alone much of the day (other than Dakota and I being with her).......and for many, many years she lived alone...she is not having a super hard time with that part at all. We usually don't have a lot of money which means we don't eat out much, we don't go to many places and we all lead a boring life so the staying at home thing we have down lol. It's the constant washing of hands/doorknobs, etc that is making Mom crazy. Her hands are so dry they are falling off (exaggeration) and she is beyond paranoid about germs and believe me, Mom is NOT a neat freak. Now she is only wanting to wipe things down! Stay healthy! Love, Cody

  7. Hi Cody
Greeting to all of you-fur kind and human kind.
We are glad to hear that your Mom is coping with the isolation thing. It must be a bit of trial for you, though, with the constant de-germing! Our Mom's hands are super dry, too.
We are glad you stopped by to say hello.
    Purrs,
Winston AND Emily (and their human, Maggie)

  8. Hello Winston. Your eyes are just so gorgeous, and that awesome hourglass shape of your mouth and nose is mesmerizing. Mom and dad here aren't all that social to begin with, so they're good. The three of us live quite a minimalist life anyway, and so far they haven't torn each other's throats out yet. They're good as long as they have stacks of books to read and plenty of sun out on our deck. Stay safe, y'all.

    1. Hello Cleo-It is good to say hello :)
Thank you for dropping by for a visit. You are very kind. It is good to hear that your Mom and Dad have sunshine and books! Mom has a little quote that says something like: cats, books and tea are my favorite things.
      Sending you our happiest purrs,
      Winston and Emily
