Celebrating My Aging Process!

Sweet Miss Em is here to say hello! We hope everyone has been managing OK. I recently chose to celebrate my aging process :) I was thankful to have a visit from a few of my family memebers.
They remembered that I like pie :) I had Dutch apple crumble pie for my b-day. It was yummy.
Everyone spoiled me with lovely gifts: baked goods, a favorite DVD, a book store gift card and this little stuffie. Apparently, it is a positive potato. He cracked me up. I keep him at work.
Willow has been snuggly. One minute she is a cuddle bug and the next minute she is swiping at me with her murder mittens.
March came in like a lamb with unseasonably warm weather. But the climate pendulum is swinging back and forth between winter and spring.
The snowdrops were out early. They are one of my favourite spring flowers.
We had snow, rain, and graupel. I had never heard of graupel before :) Work is still busy and I don't seem to have the energy to do the things I enjoy as much. (good grief-I sound super old but I'm not!) Hoping to visit everyone soon. I'm closing with a close up of Willow's toe beans because they make me happy!

February Days

Hello! We are stopping by to see how everyone is doing. Willow is looking extra "floofy" in this photo. I'm so thankful that, when she isn't being feisty, she is a complete cuddle bug.
Emily has the cutest toe tufts! The weather is changeable. It feels like spring has come early. Maybe too early. I noticed snowdrops peeking through the earth on my walk to work recently. I don't usually see them until March.
Life has become very busy lately. Sometimes it seems like I don't have time to do the things I love. Be well! Closing with some funnies to make you (hopefully) smile.

Holiday Activities

Emily wishes you all a "happy New Year!" The holiday season was hectic but I was able to visit with family on Christmas Eve. This was my first family visit in 3 years. The first 2 years Covid was responsible for the missed reunion. Last year there was a blizzard. My sister lives out of town and much of the day was spent driving. Not only did I get to see my family but I met my nephew's dog, Hazel!
Hazel is a toy beagel. I was twiterpated with this little woofie! Later that day, I was also able to make it to a Christmas Eve service. This is the first service I went to in years.
I also went with a friend to see a ballet. Another first since Covid. First, we went out for a yummy lunch. We both had baklava for dessert!
Then off to the ballet!
On my week off I did housework and ran errands. I even discovered a fun (but expensive) candy store!
Willow wishes you a lovely rest of the day! I bought them a new scratching post for Christmas. Unfortunately, neither Emily or Willow like it :( I am planning to visit your blogs over the coming week. Purrs from Emily and Willow!
