Monday Ramblings from the Mom Person

Good Monday morning from Miss Emily and orange boy, Oscar!  Miss Emily decided to share her favorite chair for a while....but she didn't like it one bit!
There are still a few trees with their leaves remaining.   It makes me a bit sad once the golden leaves have blown off in the brisk November winds.
Now Winston and Miss Emily.   Can you spot Emily?   She thinks none of us can see her in her secret hiding spot!  😊😊
I was off this past weekend and my Mom and sisters came by to help me decorate my tiny Charlie Brown Christmas tree.  Miss Emily is snoopervising the decorating of said tree.
I'm only off every other Saturday and, unfortunately,  this was the only Saturday in November that everyone was free.   It's a bit early but I'd rather that than miss our annual Christmas get together!
I find this colder weather calls for more tea!
Some raindrops sparkling in the morning light!   Always on the lookout for something colorful.   November can be a drab month before the snow but there is usually something pretty to see if you take the time to look for it.
Thanks to everyone who gave comments or suggestions on last weeks post regarding Emily's "brushing" situation.   I've been placing treats next to the brush for her to sniff and eat.  Hoping this will pave the wave for her to associate pleasant things with grooming and brushing.

Oscar wishes everyone a great week.
PS-the kitties refused to report anything this Monday.   Hopefully, after all the excitement of this past weekend-snoopervising, visitors etc, they will feel up to their regular posting!

  2. Love that last photo of Oscar, that's definitely a keeper. :-)

And Emily found a great hiding spot, or so the boys say.

November can be a bit dreary, but so far it's been lovely overall, though I do mind getting home in the almost dark now. Still, the Solstice is in another 5.5 weeks, approximately, so soon the daylight will begin to return.

Your tree is so cute. I have a little 4.5 ft one, but I'm not feeling it this year, at least not so far. I might pass on any indoor decorating, though friends came yesterday for a visit and we got lights around the huge shrub beside my front step. That a wreath on my door will do, I think.

Purrs from the boys and Light from me for a good week ahead for you all.

  3. Your photo of raindrops on the leaves is lovely.
I find November a rather dreary month too. Lovely that you and your Mom and sisters could spend some time together to relieve some of that dreariness!
With the wind over the weekend most of our leaves are now blown off. Now if they would just blow completely away I wouldn't have to rake anymore.
    Have a good week.
