Monday morning with the kitty brats

Hello.  Oscar here this morning to tell you what I've been up too (and maybe the other fur balls as well).  It's chilly outside and there is nothing I enjoy more than a nice lounge and nap on a text book , or any book, Mom needs to use!
Whenever Mom goes out she needs to bundle up and that means gloves or mittens!  She finds the mittens keep her fingers warmer!
It's Winston and Emily here now.  Can you believe it but our Mom says we  are two little trouble makers when we get together.  Once she even called us Bonnie and Clyde!  We were not sure what that meant but we didn't think it was a compliment.
This is the teapot and mug Mom got for Christmas.  She is twiterpated with the design.   She sure is drinking a lot of tea these days.

Mom said that even though it is dreary and cold outside there are still beautiful things to be seen if only we look for it.  She loves these winter berries.  There have even been a few times when she sees a few cedar waxwings plucking the berries from branches.
We kitty brats wish you all a lovely week ahead.
Purrs!

  1. 1. We suggest you take offense at being called kitty "brats." Just sayin'. :-p

    2. Oscar, we can see you're busy absorbing whatever info in in that book. We're impressed with your study skills.

    3. Oscar and Emily: You're both too gorgeous to be troublemakers.

    4. Our human thinks that teapot and mug are lovely. No wonder your human is drinking a lot of tea these days!

    5. Your human is much too cheery and positive for this freezing winter. We prefer to grumble about the cold and count down till the Spring Equinox. Fifty-three days, btw.

    1. Hi Fuzzy Tales:
      thanks for the visit!
We actually don't mind being called kitty brats. It shows that even though we are indoor kitties who live in the "lap of luxury" we are still tough felines. Nobody should mess with us!
      2. Thank you. Oscar likes to help Mom relax however he can.
      3. Why thank you! We are gorgeous and trouble makers. We can get away with a lot more that way.
      4. Mom loves the teapot! Emily loves the pinecone handle on the top of the tea pot. Emily has tried to chew on the handle. Mom is trying to find another spot.
      5. Finally! Our Mom is pleasantly surprised that she is being accused of being too cheery and positive. She tends to regard herself as a glass half empty kind of a person. However, we will speak to her about going over the top. We blame the tea and kitty cuddles for any excessive cheer.
We are glad you came to visit. Take good care.

    1. Thank you. The snow can look very pretty but it is also very cold, wet and slippy! Take good care, Ragdoll Mommy!

Winston and Emily, keep your Mom guessing ;)
While the snow is cold, we agree that there are still pretty things about Winter to enjoy.
Those berries are pretty and it is good the birds enjoy them :)

  5. You look very cozy there, Oscar. Wouldn't it be cozier to snuggle with those mittens? Sitting in that basket, those mittens would last less than ten seconds in our house before someone would take off with them. Probably someone who drools. Not that we have any brats here either...

    1. Hi Colehaus Cats,
You are right that the mittens would be cozier to cuddle in...only Mom keeps the basket up so high that it's hard to get up to them.
The mitts would make excellent cat toys as they are just the right shape to bat about.
You should be proud to be a brat. We think it shows that the felines are spunky and like to keep their humans entertained. (heehee)

  7. Winston and Emily, you two are so cute. How could your mom compare you to Bonnie and Clyde? Surely you are too adorable to get into that much trouble. Right? ;)

    Looking comfy cozy, Oscar.

Stay warm, dear pals. That's certainly what we're all trying to do here!

    Hugs!

  8. Sweet Oscar you look to be very comfy and enjoying your nap time very much. You are looking very cute with your paws crossed. Sweet Winston and sweet Emily we just cannot imagine you two fabulous looking cats doing anything that would even bring Bonnie and Clyde to your mom's mind, but she compared you to them? There is no way she can convince us you are anything like B&C. Hugs and nose kisses
