Emily is Innocent

Hello felines and their humans,
Emily here for a quick update.  First, Mom is still sick.  But we hope she will be on the mend soon.
She sleeps a lot.  It is very boring for us.  Thankfully, our meals, treats, toys, brushings, litter box cleanings and medications are mostly unaffected. Phew.
Second, I am innocent.  Yes, I am on the table.  Yes, I am very close to the Christmas tree.  I also admit that the tree is very enticing with its tiny cat toys dangling seductively from its branches and the glow of twinkle lights.   All this I admit.  But really I am only here so close to the lovely kitty toy tree because I need to wash my paw.   Ahem.  Please excuse me whilst I attend to this very important duty.
Take care felines!
Purrs,
Emily

  1. Emily, if anything should happen--by complete accident--to that pretty decoration, it will NOT be your fault. Humans should know by now not to put anything delicate within reach of kitty paws. :-)

BTW, love the owl..is it from Chapters? They had some nice ones and our human was hoping there'd be a few leftover on Boxing Day. LOL.

    1. Hello Fuzzy Tales,
Yes, the owl is from Chapters. Mom recently got a gift card for Chapters and instead of being wise and purchasing something useful she bought this fluffy owl. She gives funny little squee sounds. I also heard her say something about owl needing a hat or scarf for Christmas but I think that is just the cold medication talking.
Thanks for your understanding about the upcoming accident that is sure to happen to our tree. Mom said she tried to make it kitty proof by only put up soft felt ornaments or pewter ornaments. Pffft...kitty proof...why on earth would she need to do that!
      Take care Fuzzy Tales.

    1. We ARE always innocent. I just know that is written down in stone somewhere!
We will pass along the head bumps to Mom. She is a sucker for that sort of thing and she is fretting a lot these days about something called sick time.
Head bumps will, for sure, distract her.

      Emily

  7. Sheesh if your mom is sick and she still can do all that and decorate your house too, our mom bean must be dead. Or really, really, really lazy!

We had to wait almost ten minutes for our dinner tonight...for shame.

    Purrs for your mom!
