Update on Lucy kitty

Hello all.  Lucy kitty here.  This is me at my vet appointment earlier this week.  I went to get weighed and given the once over.    I did not mind at all coming out of my carrier.  In fact, I explored as much as possible!
The vet said I lost .2 pounds and that I weigh 11.8 pounds.  She said that she was not worried about it even though Mom did fret.  I am to come in about a month or so to get weighed again but the vet officially closed my file from the  nasty, horrible infection.  It has been a long haul since last September!
At the end of my visit, the vet gave me a kitty nip toy!  I think the vet likes me the best because I am so friendly and I purr at the office.  I purr so loudly she can not hardly hear my heart beating through the stethoscope!
Mom is starting to decorate for Easter a bit now.  She got out her silly bunny salt and pepper shakers.  A friend gave her a birthday present of a napkin holder with beautifully colored napkins.  Mom said they match the bunnies nicely.

Mom had to see the denist again because part of her brand new filling--the one from her root canal back in February--fell out.  She was NOT happy.  She decided to take a walk and admire some of the beautiful spring flowers that are finally coming out.  This is called taking your mind off of things.  Well, she can do that but I prefer snoozing in a sunbeam!    Hope everyone finds a sunbeam this week to enjoy!

  1. Lucy, we're glad your file is closed and that you're doing well. Tell your mom to feed you more; sheesh!

And aren't the snowdrops and crocuses lovely! Our human's only seen a few crocuses in sheltered spots, nothing like yours. We hope soon, though!

    1. Hi Fuzzy Tales,
This is Lucy. I will tell you a secret. Mommy is leaving out so much food now. She used to feed us only at scheduled times through out the day but since I got sick she leaves out scads of food all the time. The vet thought it was a good idea, too. Mommy is buying more food than ever before! tee hee

    1. Yes, we sometimes get catnip treats at the vet! Woo hoo! Sometimes, the vet can be good. It is not all poking, prodding, needles etc etc. A little cat nip toy goes a long way!

  5. Yes, food out all the time. ALL THE TIME. Not at all like before. If the bowl gets a bit empty, Mum feels all guilty!

  7. Lucy, glad you are on the mend. Eat up, girl! Our snowdrops are everywhere in the yard, and little periwinkle-like plants are popping up too. The tulips have leaves, and a few irises are beginning to sprouts too. Can it really be Spring?

    1. Thank you! I will keep up on Mom. Plus, I sometimes try to steal her food. I think, though, that is O.K. She gets cross, though, when I try.
Those plants sure do sound pretty!

  8. Lucy, the fact that the vet gave you a delightful toy AND that they "closed the book" on your infection is sunbeam enough for me! Hoping your Mom's tooth is all better soon!

    1. Thanks for the visit. I know, all food all the time!
I think the most painful part of Mom's tooth was coming from her wallet.

  11. Sweet Lucy we are so happy that the infection is all gone. You are probably a vets dream, wonder how many go in that are as sweet and well-behaved as you. That is so cute that you purr so loud your heartbeat can hardly be heard. Nice Easter decorations. Hugs and nose kisses
