Lucy at Home

Was able to pick Lucy up this afternoon from the vet's office. I was sent home with antibiotics, appetite stimulants, anti -nausea pills and a piller. She is to take the antibiotic 2x a day for the next 4 weeks. Dr. B. said it's the 2nd worst infection she has seen. Hoping she starts eating soon or they may have to tube feed her.
I've spoken to the boys and tried to get them to understand they are NOT to torment her at all!
"I do NOT torment.  I merely like to point out her faults in a highly visible  and vocal manner."

"I'm innocent, Mom.   I don't know why you accuse me of such things!"

    Poor Lucy. I hope she feels better very quickly. She would probably do well with a little space all her own for a few days. You know, away from the 'innocent' ones.

    Continued purrs and purrayers for Lucy. The antibiotics will be pretty hard on her system, if she'll eat any canned or baby food (pure chicken or beef, nothing added for instance) maybe you could try some FortiFlora on it. Here in Canada only vets sell FortiFlora, but I get it from an on-line retailer in the US--it's half the price. The boys love it. But the first step is getting Lucy to eat, poor love.

    We are so glad to see sweet Lucy is home. We hope the meds work, she eats well and is doing great very soon. Still keeping her in prayers. Hugs and nose kisses
