My mother has a framed reproduction of that painting; I don't know the artist. But I recall being captivated by it as a young girl, lo those many decades ago. I still am, I suppose! I hope she passes it on to me in due course. :-)
Winston has even chosen his book ;) heehee If that lady is reading it, it must be good. Bet it's about cats!! Purrs Tillie and Georgia, Treasure,Tiger,JJ and Julie

ReplyDeleteThis picture belonged to my "foster" parents. She loved to read (just like me) and so it means a great deal to me.
DeleteThanks for the visit!
Can't tell if my comment went through for approval; hope so!
ReplyDeleteDoes that girl need help turning the page, Winston?
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
I'd be happy to read with Winston!
ReplyDeleteYou gonna read to me, Winston. Love the header pic. It looks like the courtyard of St. Francis Church on 31st. Street.
ReplyDeleteWinston should come down South where it was in the high 70s today.
