Suspicions
Winston kitty here peoples. Mom's been on vacation and she seems to have more time for things like shopping. I think she should concentrate her efforts on purchasing tuna flavored treats, scratchy posts, catnip mice and nice big bags of food. This type of shopping would be a wise investment of her time and money. I've consulted with Lucy and Oscar and they both agree with me.
But when she came home from the store the other night she had none of these things. Instead she brought home this... this ... gracious I don't know what to call it. Have a look for yourselves:
Mom says these fake bunnies are for Easter. They are not just decorative, either. They are salt and pepper shakers.
Pfftt...
you can't eat these bunnies
they are not soft
they are not scratchable
Mom has taken leave of her senses.
If these bunnies so much as twitch a whisker, I'm gonna pounce and give them my famous lethal
bunny kicks.
That should teach everybody!

I'm sure you'll get some tasty treats! Such a colorful and sweet Easter figurine! Kitties, be good!!!
ReplyDeleteTreats would be a step in the right direction.
DeleteI never promise I'll be good, though!
Oh Winston, you cats are all alike. Audrey is just waiting for her moment to pounce on the tea-cup chick. You really must let us have OUR toys, too. Tell mom I love the bunnies. Hugs
ReplyDeleteMom says thanks.
DeleteI like Audrey. She is my type of rowdy kitty!
We won't tell if you do!

Thanks, guys.
DeleteYour good people!
Oh, oh, what if your human ground up some treats or kibble and put it in the shakers to sprinkle on canned food, if you eat canned food? That would be a better use for them! (Our human thinks the bunnies are adorable, btw.)
ReplyDeleteI like that idea. Just don't think Mom is gonna go for it, though.
DeleteMom says thanks =) She thinks those bunnies are cute. (whatever, Mom)
Winston kitty
and...they need to wipe those perpetual grins off of their faces!

Cody,
DeleteI totally agree. You can't trust someone who is always smiling.
Those bunbuns are up to no good!
Winston kitty
I think you will get lots treats too. Mum thinks they are cute though.. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ginger Jasper, I'm going to pass your advice on to Mom. We don't get nearly enough treats!
DeleteWinston kitty
Beautiful Winson kitty!! We are so happy to meet you! But you look most puzzled and we don't blame you!! These figurines are not edible! LOL!! We hope mum returns to the shop and buys all the proper stuff you listed here in your post! Yay! Take care

Pleased to make your acquaintance, too =)
DeleteI'm glad someone else here has good sense. What good are these figurines if you can't eat them.

Hi, just noticed your comment on Polly under the lamp.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to drop by and read my posts.
I saw from your previous post the bit about fur balls. Rupert our long hair is a worry with this, he sometimes has a job to get them up despite me giving him Katalax. The last time he was most inconsiderate and threw one up right next door to my needlework on my desk upstairs, he usually obliges in the kitchen or bathroom where it's easier to clean up.
Still this has taught me a lesson, always cover the work with polythene when I leave it. lol

Thanks for stopping by, crafty cat corner.
DeleteMy human is very slow when it comes to kitty clean ups.
I must say your human is quicker on the update.
Good job on training her!

Those bunnies are cute and all, but you're right, Winston. What good are they if they cannot be eaten?
ReplyDeleteWe hope you get some REAL treats soon!
Hugs!
Thank you mewomeowmans,
DeleteYou are another kitty with uncommonly good sense.
Signed,
Winston kitty
I agree with you Winston, however the bunnies do look gorgeous. Why don't you suggest a compromise - loads of tins of tasty tuna artfully arranged in a pretty wicker basket decorated with bunnies. Win/Win situation or should I say Win/Winston situation?

Oh, dear, Winston. It's so hard to share a mom with Eastery things. Trust me -- this is decorating weekend and I expect to hear the word "Nooooo" a lot! You have my sympathy.
