I can never seem to scold Winston properly if he looks up at me with those big, blue eyes.
Doesn't matter how naughty he has been and trust me he is a brat of gargantuan proportions at times!
On to something completely different now, though, I have a friend with a very soft heart. She lives in the country with a dog and two cats. She also 'takes' care of a stray kitty. This kitty is not an indoor pet but she does feed him and lets him sleep in her front porch. This in spite of the fact that her hubby is none too pleased about it. My friend recently discovered that this kitty has diabetes. My question is: Is there any way to manage this condition naturally through just food? If you do have any helpful suggestions, I will pass it on to her.
Anyway, I'm off to hit the hay early as I seem to have the makings of a spring cold!
I think a bit of kitty cuddly might help, too. =)

Folks,
it's Oscar kitty here. Normally, Mom should be here but she is having "one of those weeks." She says she feels frazzled. Whatever, Mom, so long as my bowl is filled, the water faucet is on a slow drip and my litter is kept fresh and tidy.
I suppose I should purr her into a nap. She's no good to me when she is like this!

Suspicions

Winston kitty here peoples.   Mom's been on vacation and she seems to have more time for things like shopping.   I think she should concentrate her efforts on purchasing tuna flavored treats, scratchy posts, catnip mice and nice big bags of food.    This type of shopping would be a wise investment of her time and money.  I've consulted with Lucy and Oscar and they both agree with me.  
But when she came home from the store the other night she had none of these things.  Instead she brought home this... this ... gracious I don't know what to call it.  Have a look for yourselves:

No treats for us!

We got NO treats on her birthday!  She had lots of company and presents  but we were ignored.  O.K.-not totally ignored.  Lucy was a big hit.  Mom's company thought she was "squishy soft".  Lucy loves that sort of stuff.  *sigh*

"Where is the birthday cake!?"

You were going to eat cake and open presents without us!?

I'll help you celebrate, Mom!

I bet she will give me cake if I sit on the counter!
