Hello all. This is Winston. I'm staying warm and toasty this bitterly cold day. Mom has been having lots of computer issues lately so we have been away longer than usual. We hope everyone is doing well. Emily and I send you our gentlest purrs.
Mom saw these beautiful tulips in the grocery store recently. It is one of the few places still open during the second lockdown. We hope the colours cheer you up!
Mom got a kalimba several weeks ago. Some people say it sounds like a harp. Mom tries to play simple songs on it. Goodness but she needs to practice. Still, it keeps her occupied on something other than the news!
Hello from Emily. Yes, the Mom likes to practice on the kalimba. She started with Christmas carols. Well, just one or two carols.
Recently, Mom went on a winter hike with a friend. A chickadee landed on her friend's hand. (The friend had seeds in her palm). Mom loves chickadees. She thinks they are cute!
We will close for now. Stay warm. Stay safe. Be well. This is a mug of hot apple cider Mom enjoyed.
Purrs.
Winston and Emily, did you see the chickadees too? Didn't you want to catch 'em?
ReplyDeleteHope the computer problems smooth out!
Wow, that chickadee landed right on your mom's friend's hand? That is amazing!
ReplyDeleteWe're sorry to hear about the computer woes. SO frustrating. At least you have the kalimba (how neat!) to keep you occupied. :)
Hugs to you all.
Hi to you both! We hope your mom's computer issues are sorted out now. The biped thinks that the next time she buys a laptop she should do it from Best Buy and pay for the Geek Squad service (her dad does that). LOL.
ReplyDeleteThe tulips are pretty, and we definitely need ANY sign of spring now, even if only in a grocery store.
We've never seen a kalimba before, it looks neat! We bet your mom is better than you give her credit for. :-)
Take care and stay warm; let's hope the polar vortex passes soon!
Glad to see you are both well and keeping warm and safe. We ventured out in the snow this morning but did not like it very much. Staying indoors for the rest of the day. Purrs from Patch and Flower. x
ReplyDeletePurrs to you two kitties, and to your Mama and her computer issues. Stay safe and warm.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you two cuties. I am impressed your mom is learning to play a new instrument. Stay warm and healthy. XO
ReplyDeleteGrumpy computers are annoying. Those are beautiful flowers and a gorgeous photo of you. Watch out for those chickadees, they can be vicious (just kidding)!
ReplyDeleteI never heard of a kalimba! You should take a video of one of the songs you play so we can hear :) That chickadee is darling!! xoxo
