Winston the Good and Emily the Virtuous -Feline Elves

Hello.  It's Emily.   I'm resting up after another busy, but fun, weekend.  On Saturday we had company!  Our Mom's mom and sister came to help her decorate her tiny Charlie Brown Christmas tree.  They did the usual, traditional things first, though.  They went out to breakfast.  Then they went shopping.  Finally, they came back to our apartment to decorate our tree.   Under our supervision they trimmed the tree!
Doesn't it look nice and sparkly?  See that it is still standing upright!
After all their hard work we allowed them some Christmas goodies.  There were squares, muffins, donuts and chocolates. (There was also some fruit but we think that is boring!)
Guess what?  The tree hasn't been knocked down yet, either.
After Mom's guests went home she came across another string of Christmas lights.  So now the tree has even more twinkly lights on it.  This is not a photo of us about to have a game of smacky paws.  We were debating whether Mom should have added more lights after her guests had gone home.
If Emily gets to wear a ridiculous hat then so do I!  Both Emily and I have been extra cuddly the past few weeks.  Mom says it warms her heart.  Miss Emily is even letting Mom groom her when the need arises.
It is cooler here but we don't have snow on the ground.  Lots of rain.  Some wet snow.  This photo is snow at night.  Mom thinks they look like little stars.
Mom wrapped up our festive weekend by meeting a lovely friend at a cafe.  They drank tea and chatted.   Mom's friend, J, gave her this fun gift.  Mom said she laughed out loud when she saw what it was.  Personally, we don't see why.
Emily and I have started stepping up our good feline behavior.   We may have to start napping more as it requires considerably more energy.
Mom wants us to close with this encouraging image (yet again from Pinterest) to help you all start your week!

Purrs to all.

    1. Hi Whiskeratti, Thanks for saying hello. Alas, we don't think our Mom appreciates our supervisory efforts...she laughs at us! It takes skill, dedication and patience to make sure she gets things right and all she can do is smile at us!
      Have a great week,
      Winston and Emily

  2. Emily and Winston, we don't really believe that you need to nap more because you are concentrating on being extra good...we know you two are plenty GOOD already!

    1. Why thank you Eastside Cats! Perhaps you are right. No need to be EXTRA good. That would just set up unrealistic expectations. But we think we will continue on with our plans to nap more.
Purrs to you for a great week,
      Emily and Winston

  3. Wow, guys, you really ARE being on your best behaviour leading up to Santa's visit. The tree looks lovely and we're very impressed it's still standing! You both did a great job snoopervising the set up and decorating.

We thought that WAS a shot of the starry sky! :-) Snow looks so much nicer in someone else's pics. Ha.

Oh, and fruit at Christmas? Only if it's in chocolate or covered in marzipan (said our biped). :-D

  5. Your mom is lucky to have you two cuties to snoopervise the decorating. I think the tradition of breakfast and decorating is wonderful. And I love the idea of fixing a crack with gold.

  7. You two kitties are both so beautiful! And we like that you are being extra cuddly with your Mama. We like the tradition of breakfast out, shopping and tree decorating :) Tell your Mama she is well ahead of ours...ours still has her autumn decorations out.

  8. I like your little tree. Good behavior does require a lot of energy so an extra nap during the day is definitely a good idea.
