Hello. It's Winston today. I've been a very busy feline. This photo, for example, shows me trying to help Oscar feel warm and loved. He meows so much these days that Mom is sometimes beside herself trying to figure out to help him.
Mom finally caved and bought a teen, tiny little pumpkin. She keeps it far from my eager feline paws, though. (Drat! Foiled again!)
Purrs from Emily and Oscar. Winston gets up close and personal with Oscar kitty hugging but I, Emily, prefer to show my support and still give a feline the personal space he so richly needs. The Mom gets all goopy when she can see us felines a cuddling together. Says it makes her heart happy.
Mom tries to get in as many walks as she can these days. Some of the trees here are already bare of their leaves. Plus, after a few days of being being well, the Mom got sick again. Sheesh! The woman needs to take vitamins or something....
Her preferred method, though, is warm beverages and rest. October is her favorite month but she has spent most of it sneezing, coughing and sniffling. We felines are having a rough go of it!
Here is a photo of the Winston kitty. Not only does he try to help keep Oscar warm AND keep Mom's toes warm at night he also likes to make sure that the freshly laundered clothes from the dryer are freshly kitty furred. This one was a close call as Mom almost started to put things away before Winston got there and fixed things up!

Felines and Thrifting and Pumpkins
Good morning felines, Winston greeting you today. It's been very cold the last few days. Mom stopped wearing sandals when she heard the word "snow". I even decided to help out her cold toes by sleeping on them the other night. I know she appreciates my warm floof on her frozen feet!
Late last week Mom went to the thrift store. She doesn't get to go very often. She said she laughed when she saw this feline mug but she left it there on the shelf.
The Mom person did find a cute chickadee cookie tin and a scarf with colors she liked.
Purrs for a great week from Emily. I'm reporting from the dining room table as it's my favorite spot in the whole world...Mom's extravagant vacation treat was a Yankee Candle wax melt...
...she liked the scent of the spiced pumpkin!
Purrs from Oscar kitty today, too! I've been keeping my Mom up at night with my loud meows. Sometimes I walk into a corner and I get confused and sometimes I get lonely and want company. One night the Mom person even slept on the sofa to stay close to me. I was very happy and purred and purred but she said it was a bit uncomfortable. I really need extra cuddles these days.
Mom found some pretty pumpkins at the grocery store. She loves the color. (I think it's because it close to my color!)
She doesn't buy any, though, as it would be too heavy to lug onto a bus. Beside, who are we kidding, the Winston kitty would try to shred them.

Thankful Felines
Hello. Winston kitty here. Wishing all our Canadian friends a very Happy Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for naps, by the way!
Our Mom is slowly getting over her flu and is hoping her second week of vacation is a bit nicer than the first week. She did venture out to the scone store. They had a very pretty tea pot on display. Our Mom has a thing for tea pots. She is a wild thing, is our Mom. *snort*
She liked the pretty color and flowers on this one.
She purchased some scones for the vet and her technicians. Personally, I don't think they deserve anything! All that poking and prodding and undignified grooming. I would blush if I didn't know that I, Winston kitty , am never at fault! Nevertheless, the Mom bought them some pumpkin spice and vanilla scones....*and maybe one for her, eh, Mom!*
Hi all, Emily here, and like Winston, I am most thankful for my naps! One of the other things Mom did between coughing and her own marathon nap sessions last week was take walks in the park. The autumn colors are a bit later than usual this year but she still enjoyed the meandering paths and the brisk air. She said the air even helped her breathing a little!
The leaves are really starting to come in now...more so than since this photo was taken. Another thing Mom did was have a visitor. They went out and did boring shopping (that means NOTHING for us) and then they rested with a warm beverage. Mom tried the pumpkin tea latte.
She said it was the most delicious warm beverage she has had in quite some time. Perhaps the cream and cinnamon had some medicinal qualities?
Even though Halloween is a couple of weeks away there are several porches already decorated. Mom liked the pumpkins on this porch.
Purrs from Oscar. I'm thankful the Mom is home because she gets to pick me up many times throughout the day and put me on the back of the sofa. I'm glad because I can't always jump that high with my gimpy back legs.
Yes, the Emily kitty was right about the leaves. They are behind from last year in changing color but even from one day to the next there are more glowing leaves on the trees.

Overworked and underappreciated felines
Hello all. It's Oscar. I've started late today because the Mom has very inconveniently become ill with the latest bug that is going around this area. Oh, I still get fed and the like but I am afraid the quality of her service is lacking--it's lacking enthusiasm and cheer. She sneezes and coughs and lies about most of the day. She is even a bit grumpy. The Mom says it's no way to start her long awaited vacation.
I sent her a message, with feline telepathy, to get a nice cup of tea. Humans are so easy to manipulate as she didn't need much prodding from me.
Mom's DVD player is acting up so she started watching Doctor Who on her iPhone. That was a bit awkward to hold while reclining on the sofa so she used the snoozing Winston as a feline stand. *I tell you we deserve more treats for the way the Mom takes advantage of us!*
She still tries to get out for walks but they tire her out. The Mom is determined not to let this bug get her down....though to be honest she has been adjusting a lot of her plans.
