Hello. It's Winston kitty here this morning. The weather has been typical of March --cold, rainy, windy, mild with flurries. Mom says she doesn't know how to dress for that kind of crazy change weather.
She saw her first robin last week and noticed these green shoots trying to spring up through the cold earth and snow.
Hi folks-Oscar here. I had my second shot on Friday . I was also informed that I have lost 2 pounds since this UTI business started. The vet sent Mom home with an appetite stimulant. She frets about my infection, my finicky appetite and my back legs not supporting me because of the arthritis. In addition to the meds she is giving me extra cuddles and attention AND I was informed she wants to purchase me a cat water fountain so I won't be tempted to jump to the bathroom counter for my gourmet water! She is looking into this right now.
Mom also managed to get herself sick. She says it's no wonder with the crazy weather!
Mom wishes she could be back here at the cottage in front of the fireplace with a tea and a freshly made cookie. If us felines could be there, too, she says it would be pefect!
Hello. Mom is disturbing my sink beauty nap so I can tell you what is happening. Other than Oscar and Mom not feeling so well not much. When I look outside I see some melting snowbanks and tree branches bending in the gusty wind. I'll close today's post with this photo. Mom took this photo at the park in the fall but she says the green and the sparkles make her think of spring. We hope you all have a great week!
Your mom's probably half-sick with worry, too. Lots of purrs to you, Oscar.
ReplyDeleteIt's bitterly cold here right now, minus 21 windchill, and was about that yesterday too. We want to know why spring won't hurry up and get here!
Hi Fuzzy Tales,
DeleteYeah. Our Mom can be a champion worrier....Thanks for your purrs for Oscar.
The sun is out here but the winds are mean.
You stay warm!
Oscar, being skinny may be fashionable, but gobble up some food, will ya?! I agree with Fuzzy Tales...your momma is worried about you. Sending warm furries to you all from equally cold and wet Michigan.
ReplyDeleteMom can feel that Oscar is lighter. He does sometimes nibble on his food but he seems more interested in drinking water and cuddling with mom.
DeleteThanks for your warm thoughts.
we are all purring that your appetite increases, Oscar. Be sure to eat extra good so she doesn't worry!! How do you like the warm beddy? Still a good thing?
ReplyDeleteI'm OK with the bed. Mom has to put me in it, though. So-Mom lets me lie on my favorite spot on the back of the couch-just under the lamp-and warms up one of her own muscle heating pads , wraps in it in a soft towel, and then puts it on Oscar's back legs. She also took a small bowl and filled it with food so Oscar has something to eat close by. Purrs to you!
DeleteYou've got to feel better soon...just got to,because your Mum worries so much.
ReplyDeleteOoh, do you think that grass tastes like cat grass?!
The REAL Maple Syrup Mob xxxxx
Thanks RMSM-our Mom got weepy yesterday (don't tell her we told you). Oscar's next vet visit for the antibiotic is on Friday.
DeleteWe never even thought of that grass being edible. She is holding out on us!

ReplyDeleteWe send your Mom purrs so she can get rid if that nasty cold.
We should be getting temps in the plus side so maybe all our mountains of snow will melt! Our daffodils are still buried :/
