Staycation
“There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle.”, a photo by cherithsky on Flickr.
The snow is starting to melt and I noticed tiny green buds starting to bravely venture out :)
Alas, nothing blooming yet. I will have my Claritin on standby, though!
Just starting my staycation and the kitty brats hope to keep you posted of what is going on.
Wishing everyone, human and feline, a great day!

Waiting
“Sitting quietly, doing nothing, spring comes..."
Zen proverb
This year, though, it is certainly taking it's sweet time!
Saw this winsom feline in a neighbor's window a few years ago. You can see the reflection of golden forsythia in the window.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Poor felines
She thought this was a cute journal. I personally fail to see the humor in it. Harrumph!
Mom has learned to take proper breaks when shopping or she gets tired and grumpy! |

Winston kitty
Winston kitty here today. I'm glad I get to curl up into a nice round bundle of fluff. Mom says we have a snow storm coming today. It sure felt like it when she was outside earlier this morning.
I'm sending all my fellow felines warm wishes and contented humans.

...the party continues
Lucy kitty here this morning. This is my "cross expression" since Mom dragged me to the vet to get weighed again. I do not like being walked to the vet. I do not like when Mom ignores my persistent and vocal requests to take me out of the nasty pet carrier and let me snooze at home. Nevertheless, I found myself at the vet again. Dr. B. weighed me and said I had gained. Mom was pleased to hear this. Dr. B. wants me to come in again next month and if I gain weight, or stay stable, and if I can get my litter box issues resolved (the antibiotic was very strong) the vet says it will be officially a "closed" file. But now on to other things. Mom's b-day celebrations continue. Some friends took her out for lunch yesterday --there was hot chocolate and delectable cheese cake desserts to be had. (Sure-take me to the vet and you get treats and presents!--harrumph!)
A nice mug of hot chocolate complete with whipped cream, chocolate sauce and cinnamon sprinkled on top. |

A disruption to our feline weekend!
Oscar kitty here today with a report. Mom celebrated getting one year older yesterday. Uh-huh. A birthday wherein she consoles herself by visiting with family and friends, opening prezzies and indulging in sweet treats. We kitty brats were close by to inspect and disapprove as required....
Winston kitty inspects a very suspicious pair of boots--they were very colorful with flowers and a bow on the back. Mum says they are rain boots. She made a funny squee sound when she opened them because she liked them so much.
Mom also opened something called cards. Inside a few of them were pieces of paper. She is looking forward to going shopping now. I, Oscar, discussed with Lucy and Winston how perhaps Mom should purchase more kitty treats or catnip toys. Mom said she wanted to try a new tea at the tea specialty shop or maybe look into a tripod for her camera. Us kitty brats are trying to find a way to dissuade her of this and, using our mental hypnosis, change her shopping path to the pet store!
The humans went out for breakfast. They ate yummy food and were a tiny bit disruptive in the restaurant. They get like that when they are together *sigh*
Mom filled our food bowls but it wasn't enough PLUS she didn't refill them quickly enough. Lucy used her most powerful "woe my food bowl is empty" performance to get the matter rectified
Finally, the humans ate cupcakes just before they finally left. Mom ordered them from a bake shop. She was so excited about them. Most especially the rainbow sprinkles. (Mom doesn't really get out much!)

Could anyone else use a little chocolate therapy today? :)
