Celebrating a friend's birthday!


Today I helped a friend celebrate her birthday .   We found a cute home style restaurant and placed our order.   You will be pleased to know that I was very, very good.  I had a bowl of tomato vegetable soup and tuna salad on whole wheat bread!  The meal was delicious!  Perfect fare for a snowy, dreary January day!
Of course, I ordered a mug of orange spice tea.  Tea makes everything taste better!
However, for dessert,  I decided that a girl needs extra calories to compensate for the bitterly cold weather we have been experiencing this past week.  I think a slice of ' "peanut butter  toberlone cheesecake" ought to fit the bill!
After the birthday girl opened her presents , all three of us, hopped up on sugar, decided to do a bit of  shopping.  I almost bought these beautifully soft gloves.  I did decide to put them back.  But not before buying a new pair of winter boots.  Happy b-day, K!

    Happy Birthday to your friend. Sounds like a lovely way to spend the day. Your lunch, and especially the dessert, look wonderful. Your kitties look pretty special too!
