Our Mom is a Geek!

Hello from Winston.  Please excuse any formatting messes.  Mom is grumpy about the changes to blogger.  As you can see, I am taking it all in stride.  Settle down, Mom.  Just take a nap!

Mom purchased some new face masks for work.  This feline mask is one of her favourites.  She especially likes the burglar feline in the lower-left corner.

Mom still goes for walks.  She takes them on her lunch breaks so she can take of her mask.  She was saying that she thought she could see early signs of autumn!

Hello from Emily.  I don't appreciate the flash on Mom's camera.  I feel quite grumpy, in fact!  However, I still want to say hello to all of you!
This is another of Mom's new masks.  Yup.  She is a Doctor Who geek.  She got a bit TOO excited when she saw the Tardis face mask.  In her defence, though, she isn't really getting out all that much these days!
This strumpet of a feline lives at the vet's office.   His name is Bogart and he flirted shamelessly with Mom.  To make things worse, I was in an exam room getting a matt removed.   (Though I do admit I feel much better with the matt gone!)
We send positive feline purrs to all of you.  Mom thinks we have posted the quote below in a previous post, however, she feels it is hopeful.
Purrs from the fur nerds,
Winston and Emily

  1. We like your mom's masks, so does that mean that we are geeks, too? That quote by Drake is certainly apropos in these times. Thank you, sweet pals. XO

  2. Those are some cool masks. Oh, and could I please have the address where I can visit that handsome mancat Bogart?

    1. Hi Cleo, Thanks for stopping by! Here is the thing about Bogart. There are signs posted in the vet's office that nobody is supposed to touch the cats. This is to help prevent the spread of germs. Only Bogart doesn't care about the sign and is shameless in trying to get people to disregard the sign.

  3. Those masks are terrific! I have a couple of cat ones, one very similar in colours to yours. The Tardis mask is great. I used to watch Dr. Who years ago, from William Hartnell (first doctor) through Colin Baker's doctor, but didn't see it much after that.

Bogart is such a handsome fellow! (Not as handsome as you, of course, Winston.) It would have been hard not to give him scritches. (Emily, we're glad you're matt-free and feeling better!)

Take care, all of you, and have a great week.

    1. Hello and thanks for stopping by. Mom has only ever watched the new Dr. Who episodes. We think cat themed masks are better than some old TV show!

  4. Really?!? Your mom used the 'a' word already? C'mon now! For those of us who get more cold than warm, we delight in every moment that isn't snowing...

    1. You made Mom laugh---Again! :)
Thanks for dropping by to say hello. The thing is that Mom is a bit puzzled by the early signs of the dreaded "a" word. Usually she doesn't see these things until September. Purrs, Emily and Winston

  5. We love those cat masks. OUR Mummy is also a Doctor Who fan but We can't get it anymore as our local cable carrier dropped the BBC (or vice versa).

    1. Hi J-Cats, We are happy to hear from you. Mum can't watch Dr. Who on telly anymore, either. She would have to upgrade to a more expensive cable package. So she gets the DVDs from the library.

  7. That's a great quote and it doesn't matter if mom has had it on before. It's worth repeating! Love the masks. The housekeeper has a couple she likes but they're boring. Have a good week, friends :) - Tom xx
