Cuddle Weather

Hello everybody.  Oscar kitty today.   I wanted to take a brief interlude from my nap to say hello and to let you know what I have been up to this past week.  It's cold and snowy outside so I'm very thankful to be an inside kitty.   Especially with my pesky arthritic back legs.  I fall down a lot these days.   Mom lifts me up to my favorite spot on the back of the sofa.   Then she has a little kitty sized heat pack that she puts on my legs.   She also (don't tell anybody) gets an extra soft towel to tuck me in.   I appreciate it, too.   I'm not as fluffy as I have been and I feel the cold more keenly.
I also have to say I've been enjoying my kitty cuddler.   The official name is the kitty shack.   However, it so soft, private and cozy that Mom calls it the kitty cuddler.   I have a hard time with heights of any kind (including the litter boxes) but I've no problem getting into this little cocoon.  I'm so pleased Mom forked over more cash for it!  It's mine, too, all mine!  I've seen Winston eyeing it but I've staked my claim!   Unlike this fancy feline, I tend to hide inside, where I can be all warm and safe!
Oscar is NOT telling fibs.  I have been coveting that cuddler!   But I now he needs it more than me so I'll let him enjoy it.  I've been snuggling closer to the Mom person some winter nights.  Not always.  I don't want her to become too dependent on my warm fluffiness or anything!   Humans can be so clingy!
She is up to her usual.   The Mom will take her camera and go for walks on her days off and take photos of the freshly fallen snow!
Then she likes to cozy up with a nice warm beverage.   I've discovered that warm beverages can improve any grumpy tendencies that may have crept into her personality!  If you notice a human that is not following standard human/feline servant procedure, I suggest a warm tea, I find it makes them more agreeable to live with!
Purrs from Miss Emily!   I love this heated cat bed.   Mom had originally bought it for Oscar's ouchy back legs but it just wasn't for him.  I, on the other, find it perfect to warm up and drape my fluffy tail over the edge with a coy expression.   (Perhaps I'm a bit of flirt, too!)   Mom sure does give the Oscar kitty lots of extra love these days.   She tries to pet him whenever she walks by and tells him how much he is loved...well, she sure does spoil him.   I guess I shouldn't complain too much.   He will be 18 years old in a few months.   Besides, I have this fabulous feline "chaise lounge"!

Purry happy to be back

Hello all.   Miss Emily here.   I'm reporting from my comfy chair.  The one with the soft blanket and big pillow.   Well.   The Mom person finally got her internet back.   It took the company 11 days and 6 technicians to get it fixed.   I heard her muttering something about finding another company.   However, I'm so happy to be back I will just report on the nice bits!
Mom enjoys her quiet winter walks.   She especially enjoyed this morning walk to work.

Technical Difficulties

Hi all--tee hee-did you like the cartoon I've picked for you?  The Mom's internet is zonked.  She is quite cross about it.  It's the 2nd time in less than a year.
I don't let things bother me.  See me-tummy exposed to the world.  Feeling all carefree.   As long as the mom provides me with kibbles etc.  I'm good.Mom and a friend tried to give Oscar a bit of a spa day at home.   Mom was thankful for the help.  Apparently, the vet is booked up and his next spa day is still a ways away.

The Mom has started to gently tease Winston about his floofiness.   She doesn't mind, though, as long as we are healthy.
