This is how our Mom looks...all grumpity. We gave her some extra purrs, though. Purrs have amazing healing powers apparently! Mom always says that when she is sick or sad hearing our purrs may not change the situation but it does help her mood!
so....until the computer is fixed we will have to entertain you with old photos. Doesn't it look like Emily is purring here? We thought so too. This is Emily's favorite cartoon. She loves the table. Though, to be honest, Mom only acts shocked about this if she has company over!! Tee hee. We hope to be able to visit when things are good with the human's technology again. Purrs to all for a great week!
That last pic is priceless and oh so true!
ReplyDeleteGood luck re: your mom's computer, we hope it's repaired to her satisfaction. Have a good week.
RE: the pet sitter (your comment on our post): There are only 2 companies in town, and this one seems the better of the two. The owner has been EXTREMELY patient with me, as I asked a million questions, asked for references for the sitter she was sending, as well as a copy of her criminal record check. etc. I went back and forth with her countless times, no charge, and the initial meeting was no charge (unlike the other company). They're bonded and insured and now have keys to my house. They also have an 8-page document, complete with photos, of how to give Nicki his Flovent and where (same stool), all the cats' info, vet info, food info, you name it. I had the sitter come in twice last week (@ $16 per half-hour visit, not cheap) so Nicki could get used to her, and as I posted, she gave him his Flovent last Friday. She's coming on Wednesday to do the same, while I'm home, and then once again next week too. Then she'll come on the 22nd and 23rd because I won't be home till later in the evening, both days, because of work commitments. So I'll see how it goes, and it probably is good for it to work out this way, so that the boys understand I AM coming home, even if a stranger comes in to feed them and do meds. Derry will hide, of course, but I hope with enough exposure to her that he'll relax a bit. I'm going to have her come in every 2 - 3 weeks, just to keep the boys familiar with her. I'm hoping that this will pay off in the long run, because I just don't want to be in a panic situation when I'm called to go east suddenly. -Kim
