Yesterday morning I met a friend for a tea and a brownie (I am on vacation after all!) We chatted for almost 2 hours =) It feels so lovely to not have to rush. She and her hubby are leaving for a trip to warmer climes in the next bit. Why on earth would she want to leave all this beautiful white stuff!

The List and Tea

 Good morning, peoples.  It's Oscar kitty today.  Yesterday, Winston, told you about our crazy Mom.  First day of vacation and she makes out a to-do list of chores.  Winston attempted to demonstrate the correct way to relax but she still went through her list AND added a few more things as well.  She did, though, take a tea break.  She loves this tiny porcelain set. Mom even ventured into the cold blustery day to pick up a cinnamon scone.

Winston kitty here! Today is the first day of Mom's vacation. Know what that crazy woman went and done? Made a to-do list.
She's nuts! Very sad. I will try and show her by example what a successful vacation really should be like.

Lucy kitty here. Mum just found out that she is finally going to get her vacation! The date has been changed at least 7 times, through circumstances beyond her control, and she now gets to plan her vacation with less than a week to the start date. I told her if she had trouble with finding something fun to do she could give me a tummy rub.

Snow Day!

Friday was a snow day!  I felt like I was an elementary school kid again  =)
Instead of staying inside, sensibly warm, and with a kitty by my side.

I ventured outside into a winter wonderland of cold, snow and wind!

The snow was deep--about mid calf.  My boots only cover just past my ankle   =)
I wore my sunglasses to protect my eyes from the snow-it was a bit fierce.

I love taking photos but my fingers were starting to go numb with the cold.  I found a tiny little cafe to duck into for a moment.

The lady was very kind and allowed me to drip snow water on the floor while I thawed out.  I purchased a very yummy muffin and then headed back out into the "wild" winter weather.

I could tell the kitty brats were thrilled to see me back home-safe and sound.  I felt I deserved a nap after all that!

It's beautiful outside this morning. The landscape covered in soft, snowy white. I'm heading out to do errands and this afternoon is class.   Back to work again tomorrow!
