Begone feeding tube!

See this feeding tube!  I've had it for almost a month.

Mommy had to feed me 6 syringes of food a day to start.....But I scratched at it and twisted that old tube.  Mom had to bring me to the vet's twice to get it fixed.

 

 

But she finally removed it!  I'm thrilled.  Mommy is nervous.

Mom says I can be such a brat BUT I am the politest kitty brat ever-- sometimes.
After she puts down my food bowl for me, I always say "thanks, Mom" I show my appreciation by purring and nudging her hand in thankfulness.
I make her heart happy!

Lucy kitty here with a quick report.
I had to see the vet again this morning.
I gained almost 1/4 of a pound.
The vet told mum to stop giving me 6 syringes of food every day and just give me 2 syringes of food. (What!) If I eat enough on my own, and can maintain my weight, the vet told mum the feeding tube could maybe come out.
Mum says she is tiredly, cautiously pleased. To celebrate, she bought a marshmallow Santa covered in chocolate. She also wants to take a nap.
While she naps, perhaps I should not go up on the counter again. tee hee.

Hope everyone is having a lovely week.
Lucy is off to see the vet again today. She still has the feeding tube and still has "issues"
We had the first real snowfall of the season today. It looks pretty and I will have to actually
wear boots.

This morning I gave Lucy her last antibiotic. The vet says she hoping that with Lucy off this pill (Clavaseptin) she will soon feel better and start eating. (oh, please)
I had a long weekend and spent a unusual amount of time just sleeping. Honestly, it was great!

Girl's night out

Oscar kitty reporting live from Mom's apartment on the annual "Girl's Night Out".  Honestly, peoples and felines.  They act like kids when they get together.  tsk tsk.
Anyway, I'm not here to judge.  I'm here to report on their shenanigans.
Mom cancelled all but one of her bed and breakfast retreats when Lucy got sick.  She and her Mom and two of her sisters book a bed and breakfast somewhere close by. Photos to follow:

Their room with electric fireplace and flat screen TV.  

 One of the sister chicks "getting down" as Mom puts it.  Honestly, people are crazy.  Us felines always try to maintain our dignity.
Face blurred on purpose.  Mom knows Christmas is coming and she wants to get a present this year!

 A little bit of window shopping.  Yes. Christmas decorations in the stores already.  I know the Winston brat can hardly wait to swat at/ climb/ knock over any decorations Mom dares to put up.

Mom really wants this tea towel.  She gave several broad hints and hopes to find it in her stocking in a few months.

A walk in the rainy wooded lot.  Another sister chick with her face blurred.  Mom loves her sisters but she knows they would get even if ever certain things came to light.  Plus,  Mom really, really wants those cute little rain boots.

A morning walk in the woods.  The sun casting a soft, gold glow over the landscape.  The reflection in the pond was beautiful!

Finally, something worth reporting on!  Breakfast.  It was delicious and there was plenty!
Those crazy humans enjoyed their stay.  Oscar kitty signing off!
