A tale of a summer storm

Peoples, I'm here on the forbidden counter (which is quite cluttered, Mummy! You really need to deal with this paper mess) to relate our experience this Friday past.

 It has a been a very hot, humid week.  On Friday evening, a thunderstorm ripped through.  It was quite intense.   In fact, Lucy kitty hid.  What a fraidy cat!

Be quiet, Oscar!  It's Lucy kitty, peoples.  Mummy tells me I'm very smart to hide from such a nasty streak of weather.  It was a very bad storm.  Mummy says she didn't realize how bad until the next morning on her walk to work!  When she saw this:

Gosh, maybe I should have hid under the bed, too.  But if I had I wouldn't have seen this rainbow after the storm!

Oscar kitty today everyone,
It's been so steamy these last few days we don't even have an occasional scuffle! We conserve our energy for important things--like naps and treats!
Mom bought us an extra fan this week. She also bought an extra wine goblet (plastic *sigh*) We dine in style as only a feline should!

Winston's most excellent adventure

Today Mom took me to the vet to get dematted!

Mom brought me there before she went into work.  We had to wait in this room before I could go in to see the vet.

"Mom, how come the vet's cats get this super cool kitty condo!?"

This cheeky cat was trying to nose inside my carrier and my Mom's tote bag.  Mom liked his pink nose!

Mommy laughed at this but not me.  She says a photo of my new furs is coming up soon!

Winston kitty this time, peoples!
Mom has been busy which means we don't get to touch base with you all nearly as much as we would like.
To bring you up to speed, though, I have an appointment at the vet's this Thursday. I'm supposed to get all the knots taken out of my furs. *sigh* I don't like it when people brush me-usually. Sometimes, I let Mom but then I get tired of it and bite her hand. She doesn't like that and stops.
She can be such a wuss.
Hopefully, the vet does a good job. Mom tells me that I'm beautiful no matter how many chunks of fur are missing off me.
She tells me if I let her brush me this might not be an issue.
Whatevah!
